Account & Billing

1. How do I sign up / log in to read on Hasalynx Press?

You need to first make an account. There are two ways to do it. You can click on “Log in” on the top right corner of the website, and the website will prompt you to sign up. Or you can go directly to “Choose a plan.” As you choose the plan, the website will prompt you to log in, or, if you don’t have an account yet, to start one.

2. How do I redeem my coupon during plan purchase?

If you have a Hasalynx Press coupon, you can redeem it at checkout. On the checkout page, you will see the price of the plan that you are about to buy. Beneath it will be an option to use a coupon. Click on it and apply the coupon.

3. What is the difference between the Free Plan and the Reader Plan?

On the Free Plan, you can read samples of books. We are continuously adding new samples, hoping that all books eventually get one. The goal of the free plan is so that you can start reading the books you are interested in and see if you want to continue. It is not a plan suited for reading full books. If you want to read full books, please get a Reader Plan. It is the only way to read full books.

4. How can I update my payment information?

First, log in. After that, you will see your name in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it, and a menu will open. Choose “My Subscriptions.” You will see a list of subscriptions purchased with their status (e.g., valid). Click on the one you want to update. You will see information on your start date, payments completed, etc. Below you will find the links to Update Payment Method and Cancel Subscription.

5. How can I cancel my plan?

First, log in. After that, you will see your name in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it, and a menu will open. Choose “My Subscriptions.” You will see a list of subscriptions purchased with their status (e.g., valid). Click on the one you want to cancel. You will see information on your start date, payments completed, etc. Below you will find the links to update payment method and Cancel Subscription.

6. I canceled my subscription. I can’t sign up for it again.

Unfortunately, to prevent people from accidentally signing up twice for the same plan (aka having a duplicate paid subscription), we had to set a maximum of 1 subscription per user. This prevents people from signing up for the plan again after they cancel. We suggest that you start a new account with a different email.

7. How can I change my email / password?

First, log in. After that, you will see your name in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it, and a menu will open. Choose “Account settings.” Scroll down to Login Info. You will be able to update your login email and password there.

8. How can I change my other account info, e.g., nickname, avatar, etc.?

First, log in. After that, you will see your name in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it, and a menu will open. Choose “Account settings.” There you will be able to update your avatar, display name, and other information.

Make sure you are on a Free Plan and logged in. Simply click on “Browse Ebooks” in the website menu to go to the online catalogue. Beneath the filters, there is an option to “Show books with free sample.” Mark the checkbox, and the sort will show you books that have free samples. Click on those, and the reading page of the free sample will open for you. Upgrade to a Reader Plan to read the whole book.

10. How do I read the books online?

This is very easy and quick! Make sure you have a Reader Plan and are logged in. Simply click on “Browse Ebooks” in the website menu to go to the online catalogue. Click on the book title that interests you, and under the book blurb, you will see the “Read Online” section with the links to the book’s parts. Click on those, and the reading pages will open for you. Once you are on the reading pages, you will be able to navigate to the next part, previous part, or back to the online catalogue.

11. Can I read on my phone, tablet, or computer?

Yes, Hasalynx Press was made precisely for you to read in the browser. Simply log in from your chosen device’s browser and start reading.

12. Do you have an app?

No, Hasalynx Press was made for people who want to read on browsers. The reason is we want the site to be easily accessible even without downloading any apps.

13. Can I download the books to read offline?

No. Hasalynx Press doesn’t distribute its ebook files for download, nor can they be purchased. The only way to get access is to have the subscription plan for reading online. It is actually for your ease – you wouldn’t want to download hundreds of books and crowd your devices with files. It’s quicker to just access them in your browser.

14. Can I purchase the books as standalone files?

Hasalynx Press doesn’t have an online shop for singular book purchases, as it is a website streaming novels on subscription for a small fee. Introducing singular book purchases would raise the prices, giving readers a worse experience, so we are not doing it.

Content & Library

15. Where are these books from? Are they here legally?

Yes — every book on Hasalynx Press is here 100% legally. Our catalogue comes from two fully authorized sources:

  • Classical Gems — These are public‑domain works whose authors passed away before 1925. Their copyrights have expired, which means they are legally free for anyone to publish. It is fully compliant with copyright law.

  • Hasalynx Pearls — These are original works created and published in‑house by Hasalynx Press under our own pen‑name brands. We hold full rights to distribute them.

All titles on this website are either public domain or owned by us, ensuring that every book is legally sourced and properly authorized. Read without worries!

16. How often do you add new books?

We strive to add at least 10 new titles every month.

17. Where is the review section? How can I review the books?

On Hasalynx Press, we believe in a quiet space for readers. We believe that readers should make their own reading choices based on what interests them, and not on a popularity contest of which book has the best ratings, as it may not necessarily reflect what a person needs. Still, it is possible to review the books.

To leave a review, finish reading the book and click "Continue" to the next part. You will be automatically taken to the page where you can submit your review. The submit review page is not available for free members or visitors because we only want those that have really read the books to give feedback, to avoid abuse like on other websites where people make mass accounts to leave reviews as a form of popularity contest.

18. Can you add [mainstream author] or [recent global bestseller]?

No. Hasalynx Press is a publishing house, not a reading platform. This means that we can only add works that are either in the public domain or that are published by us. We cannot take popular authors’ books and publish them here as those are protected by copyrights and we don’t have the licensing to do that. However, we have a great variety of works that may interest you and suggest that you browse our catalogue.

19. Can I request more books by a specific Hasalynx Press pen name or specific content?

Yes, contact us to make a suggestion using the contact form. Please note that we can only accept requests for more books by pen names that we own, as the production of those books depends on Hasalynx Press. We cannot take requests for books from the public domain.

20. Can I publish my book on Hasalynx Press?

Currently, we do not offer author publications as we do not have a system for overseeing individual publications in the way that traditional publishers do, nor do we have a royalty system as we only publish public domain works and works produced by us in-house. We don’t have contracts with individual authors. However, if you are interested in this option, you can contact us to talk about it, and we will see what we can do.
