CEO / Founder
Founder of Hasalynx Press. Publishing original romance and bringing forgotten public domain books back to readers.
The Origins of Hasalynx Press
Hasalynx Press was founded by M. R. Foti, an independent author and publisher based in Kielce, Poland. After years of working inside the writing world — creating books under several pen names, collaborating with contractors, and navigating every corner of the publishing ecosystem — she saw the same pattern repeat itself everywhere.
Traditional publishers acted as gatekeepers. Large platforms paid authors pennies in royalties while pushing them into restrictive programs. And in the reading communities built around those platforms, the joy of books was increasingly buried under review wars, hostility, and relentless competition. The spaces that were supposed to celebrate stories had become exhausting and toxic — it was terrifying to even bring your book out there for review because it would be torn to shreds.
At the same time, she saw something else: a flood of books released with no quality control at all. Many so-called indie writers lacked even basic command of English or storytelling craft. Countless titles were rushed to market without care, leaving readers to sift through noise instead of discovering stories worth their time.
The contrast was striking. On one side, a toxic, competitive environment. On the other, a marketplace overflowing with low-effort content. And in the middle, readers — forgotten by both.
Hasalynx Press was created as the alternative.

A different kind of reading experience
Hasalynx Press is a sole proprietorship, and that matters. There are no committees, no investor pressures, no algorithm-chasing. Every decision is guided by a single priority — the reader and what they genuinely want. Hasalynx Press actively researches the market, studies reader tastes, and shapes the catalogue around what people actually enjoy reading, not what a boardroom wants to push.
The catalogue is built on two foundations.
The Hasalynx Pearls collection consists entirely of original fiction created in-house through a proprietary creative process developed over years of hands-on experience. Every title is produced with the reader in mind — not an author's ego, not a trending genre, not a publishing quota. New titles arrive every month, spanning romance in all its forms — contemporary, steamy, and dark — as well as spiritual and emotionally rich fiction for readers who want something deeper.
The Classical Gems collection offers something rarer — carefully selected public domain works by remarkable authors who passed away before 1925 and whose voices risk being forgotten. These are not the obvious classics everyone already knows. These are hidden treasures: gripping adventure stories, gothic mysteries, sweeping historical epics, sea voyages, and explorations of continents that no longer exist as they once were. Found during M. R. Foti's own reading journey and brought here so they don't disappear entirely.
Why Hasalynx Press and not somewhere else?
Because somewhere else means sifting through thousands of low-quality titles to find one worth reading. It means stumbling into review wars and author drama that has nothing to do with books. It means being sold content produced purely for volume with no thought given to you, the person actually reading it.
At Hasalynx Press, the noise has been removed entirely. No authors competing for your attention. No reviews weaponized as tools of rivalry. No filler content padding out the catalogue. Every book here — whether an original Hasalynx Pearls title or a rediscovered Classical Gem — has been chosen or created because it genuinely deserves to be read. And yes, that means Hasalynx Press offers fewer books than the massive platforms — but that’s a strength, not a weakness. You don’t need millions of titles. You only need hundreds of books worth reading, and that is more than enough for a rich, fulfilling reading life.
You get a catalogue that grows every month. You get a quiet, distraction-free reading environment. You get books made for readers, not for algorithms.
Hasalynx Press exists because reading should feel safe, inspiring, and meaningful — never chaotic, never competitive, and never diluted by low standards.
Readers deserve better. This is better.
